There was quite a turnout at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel for Regis College’s Let It Shine gala, which honored Century Bank CEO Marshall Sloane and raised more than $1 million for scholarships. Regis president Antoinette Hays and John Tegan, chairman of the college’s board of trustees, presented Sloane with a sculpture created for the occasion by Nancy Schon, best known for her “Make Way for Ducklings” bronze in the Boston Public Garden. Hill Holliday founder Jack Connors served as auctioneer, helping find homes for signed Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski jerseys, and Kelley Tuthill, Regis’s vice president of communications, was the emcee. Guests included Elizabeth Frawley Bagley, the former ambassador to Portugal, retired state representative Carol Donovan, former Regis president Mary Jane England, BC High School president Grace Cotter Regan, and Lane Glenn, president of Northern Essex Community College. Cardinal Sean O’Malley delivered the final blessing.
