It just got a little harder to park in the Seaport.

A new 12,000-square-foot bar and nightclub called The Grand is the latest venture from Big Night Entertainment Group, which includes brothers Ed and Joe Kane and Randy Greenstein. The opening VIP party was attended by a few familiar faces, including “Matty in the Morning” hosts Matt Siegel and Billy Costa, Jenny Johnson of NESN’s “Dining Playbook,” restaurateur Seth Greenberg, stylists Pini Swissa and Sandy Poirier, and Globe owner John Henry and wife and Globe Managing Director Linda Pizzuti Henry .

“I felt like it was the right time, like it’s almost like the golden age of Boston,” said Ed Kane, whose BNEG also owns Empire, Explorateur, GEM, and Red Lantern. “We ended up spending $13 million, but I feel like that’s what Boston deserves.”

The club actually opened the night before with a performance by DJ Hardwell and a surprise appearance by T-Pain (above).
