The PR offensive for Taylor Swift’s new CD is in full effect.
The singer, whose new disc “Reputation” dropped last week, has announced the first round of dates for her upcoming North American tour and, yes, Swift will be taking the stage at Gillette Stadium.
The 10-time Grammy winner, who’s played the Patriots’ home field in Foxborough before, will perform at Gillette on July 28, in between stadium shows in East Rutherford, N.J., and Toronto. Tickets for the North American shows go on sale to the general public Dec. 13.
This will be Swift’s fifth tour stop — and eighth show — at Gillette Stadium. In 2010, she was the first female artist to headline at Gillette — Justin Bieber opened for her at the show we saw. Swift has sold out all of her previous shows at Gillette, and given the hype surrounding the new LP, the 54,000 seats will likely be filled again this time.
