Sandy Poirier, owner of the South Boston hair salon Shag, is a finalist on “American Beauty Star.”

For the past few months, viewers of the Lifetime reality show “American Beauty Star” have watched Sandy Poirier, the bearded, heavily tattooed owner of the South Boston salon Shag, advance to the next round week after week. Thursday, they’ll see him in the finale. Poirier, who’s one of the three contestants still in the running for the $50,000 grand prize and a spot on a Teen Vogue editorial shoot, is hosting a viewing party at The Grand, the new Seaport nightclub owned by his buddy Ed Kane. Poirier told us the show will be displayed on a “huge, 70-foot high-definition LED wall” at the club.
