The royal engagement it’s not, but word that Jenny Slate and Chris Evans are back on is big news in some circles.
People.com reports that Slate, who grew up in Milton, and Evans, who’s from Sudbury, are officially a couple again, and have been spotted in recent days looking at apartments in New York’s Tribeca neighborhood. (Evans, who’s best known for playing Captain America, is starring in “Lobby Hero” on Broadway in 2018.)
For those of you keeping track, Slate and Evans dated for seveal months in 2016, but broke up last March shortly before the release of “Gifted,” a movie they made together. While promoting the film, Slate said she and Evans had gone their separate ways.
“We’re not on bad terms, but we haven’t really seen each other, spoken a lot,” the actress told New York Magazine. “I think it’s probably best. I’d love to be his friend one day, but we threw down pretty hard. No regrets, though. Ever.”
Slate’s best known for the indie film “The Obvious Child” and as the voice of “Marcel the Shell With Shoes On,” the popular stop-motion animated short. She and husband Dean Fleischer-Camp divorced in 2016 after four years of marriage.
