The sexiest man alive is also an empathetic one.
Country singer Blake Shelton demonstrated that by sharing a video message with kids and staff at Quaboag Regional Middle/High School, which is reeling from the loss of three teens who were killed in a car crash last month.
Lena Noonan, 16, Christian Congelos, 15, and Jaclyn Desrosiers, 14, were killed when the car they were traveling in rolled over. Shelton was 14 years old when he lost his brother, Richie, in a car accident.
“It breaks my heart, I completely know how it feels. I lost my brother in a car accident,” Shelton says in the video. (The snippet from “The Voice” coach, who was recently named People’s “Sexiest Man Alive,” was part of a larger tribute video that was posted to social media.)
“It’s the worst possible feeling. . . . It’s just overall brokenness that’s going to take a lot of time to heal,” Shelton says. “I still miss my brother every day and you’re going to miss those guys every day.”
