Grizzled Aerosmith ax man Joe Perry released a new solo CD this week — his first in a long time — and to celebrate the occasion the 67-year-old guitarist hosted a bash at the Roxy in LA featuring some of his famous friends.

Among those joining Perry on stage were his sons Tony and Roman, actor Johnny Depp, Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander, New York Dolls frontman David Johansen, guitarist Slash, former Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson, Extreme’s Gary Charone, Brit Terry Reid, drummer Zak Starkey, and Stone Temple Pilots pair Dean and Rob DeLeo.

The new disc, released Thursday, is called “Sweetzerland Manifesto” and features vocals by Zander, Johansen, and Reid.
