Mass General Hospital’s annual Children Aspire Spring Gala was a hit, raising a bundle of dough to support the hospital’s therapeutically-based program of the Lurie Center for Autism. Party planner Bryan Rafanelli handled the arrangements, and the event at the Four Seasons Hotel included a few familiar faces, notably Aerosmith bass player Tom Hamilton, Curt and Shonda Schilling, and “Wonder Years” actress Danica McKellar. . . . Meanwhile, spring in Boston means the return of the nasturtiums at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in the Fenway. The stunning flower display is an annual tradition begun by Gardner during the week before Easter. To celebrate the occasion, the museum hosts a swell Nasturtium Party and guests this year included Red Sox chairman Tom Werner, curator Sarah Coffin, and poet laureate Dick Flavin; designer Erin Robertson; Boston Globe Managing Director Linda Pizzuti Henry; Peggy Fogelman, the Norma Jean Calderwood Director of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum; board chair Barbara Hostetter, board president Stephen Kidder, and trustees Rev. Ray Hammond, Katherine Chapman Stemberg, and Brian Chu.
