Gwyneth Paltrow on Wednesday divulged more details on how Brad Pitt confronted Harvey Weinstein after the producer allegedly sexually harassed the then-22-year-old actress in a hotel room more than two decades ago.

During an interview on “The Howard Stern Show,” Paltrow, 45, said that she told Pitt, who was her boyfriend at the time, about how Weinstein allegedly had come on to her in a California hotel room.

“I told him right away, and I was very shaken by the whole thing,” Paltrow told Stern, adding that she had just signed on to shoot two movies with Weinstein and was afraid for her job.

At an opening of “Hamlet” on Broadway where all three were in attendance, Paltrow said that Pitt confronted Weinstein, describing the encounter as “the equivalent of throwing him against the wall, you know, energetically.”

She added: “It was so fantastic because what he did was, he leveraged his fame and power to protect me, at a time when I didn’t have fame or power yet. He’s the best.”

Paltrow said that Pitt relayed to her afterwards what he had told Weinstein.

“He came back and told me exactly what he said. He said, ‘If you ever make her feel uncomfortable again, I’ll kill you,’ or something like that,” she told Stern. “It was great.”

When Stern told Paltrow that “I love him for this,” Paltrow agreed: “I love him for this, too.”

“The Howard Stern Show” made snippets of Paltrow’s interview available online.

Paltrow told The New York Times in October that after she was cast to play the titular role in the Jane Austen adaptation of “Emma,” Weinstein asked Paltrow to come to his Beverly Hills hotel room for a work meeting. After the meeting, she told the Times that Weinstein put his hands on her and suggested they head to the bedroom for massages.

“We had one instance in a hotel room where he tried to — where he made a pass at me,” Paltrow told Stern on Wednesday. “And then I really kind of stood up to him, and I told my boyfriend at the time.”

She told Stern that she was “shocked” and “blindsided” by Weinstein’s advances.

On Thursday, reports surfaced that Weinstein is expected to surrender to authorities Friday morning to face criminal charges after an investigation into allegations that he sexually assaulted women.

Paltrow is currently engaged to Brad Falchuk, a Newton native and TV producer who is also the brother of former 2014 gubernatorial candidate Evan Falchuk. The pair were in Massachusetts earlier this month for the funeral of her fiance’s father, Dr. Kenneth Falchuk, a Harvard Medical School professor who died May 3.
