If it seems like Kate Bosworth isn’t as focused on making movies as she once was, that’s because she’s got other irons in the fire.
In particular, the Cohasset High School grad and her husband, Michael Polish, have launched a nonprofit arts school in Big Sky Country, of all places, to help aspiring filmmakers learn what’s entailed in getting a movie made, from pre-production to final cut. And the Montana Institute of the Arts is already accepting applications.
“As a Montana resident who has a long family lineage here, it is important to me that the Montana film and art community flourish. We believe we have a concept to help support this vision,” said Polish.
Added Bosworth: “Michael and I have accumulated over 40 years experience in filmmaking. We look forward to bringing our knowledge of the arts to a place that is so special to us — Montana.”
