Pete Davidson is coming to Medford Square for a New Year’s Eve show.
The 25-year-old “Saturday Night Live” star will headline a New Year’s Eve performance “with friends” at the Chevalier Theatre in Medford. Davidson, currently the youngest cast member on “SNL,” is keeping the list of friends under wraps for now, according to a representative for the theater.
The announcement of the show comes the same day as Davidson posted on Instagram about the bullying he’s received since his brief engagement to singer Ariana Grande was called off, and before.
“I’ve been getting online bullied and in public by people for 9 months,” Davidson wrote. “I’ve spoken about BPD and being suicidal publicly in the hopes that it will help bring awareness and help kids like myself who don’t want to be on this earth.”
Davidson noted: “No matter how hard the internet or anyone tries to make me kill myself. I won’t.”
Grande — who recently released the video for her newest single, “thank u, next,” which respectfully mentions her exes, including Davidson — reposted his note on her Instagram story, along with her own comments supporting him.
The singer asked her fans “to please be gentler with others” and said that she cares “deeply about [P]ete and his mental health.”
