More than a quarter of a million people have been able to enjoy the city’s array of holiday shows at a discounted price thanks to the Mayor’s Holiday Special, now in its 15th season.

The special is produced by ArtsBoston in collaboration with the City of Boston, the City of Cambridge, and the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Eva Furlong of Winchester recently bought the 250,000th ticket. To celebrate the milestone, ArtsBoston invited Eva and her family onstage during Saturday’s matinee of the José Mateo Ballet Theatre’s performance of the holiday classic “The Nutcracker.”
