YA star author Angie Thomas danced onto the stage at the Wilbur Theatre Thursday night for a conversation with Christina Tucker of the podcast “Unfriendly Black Hotties.” Thomas, whose debut novel was the wildly popular “The Hate U Give’’ was in town to promote her new book. “On the Come Up’’ follows 16-year-old rapper Bri who has trouble at school, is about ready to be evicted along with her ex-addict mom, and whose first song has just gone viral and ignited a controversy.
