The “King of Country” is coming to Foxborough this summer.

Kraft Sports + Entertainment announced Tuesday that country music star George Strait will perform at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 17, and he will be joined by Blake Shelton, along with special guests Cody Johnson and Caitlyn Smith.

According to a press release, the show will be Strait’s first in New England since his “Cowboy Rides Away Tour” stop at Gillette in 2014, when he announced he would no longer tour and only perform select engagements.

Strait and Shelton’s show is the fourth concert announced as part of the Gillette Stadium Summer Concert Series. Also playing the stadium are rock legends the Rolling Stones on June 8, country music star Luke Bryan on June 21, and jam band supergroup Dead & Company on June 22.
