You can charter the glamorous former yacht of Aristotle and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis

The "Christina O."Stef Bravin

You can live like Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis by cruising the Mediterranean in the glamorous yacht once owned by her second husband, shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis. It will only cost you around $100,000 a day.

Aristotle bought the 325-foot Canadian war ship in 1954 and converted it into a “floating mansion” for $4 million, according to Valef Yachts, the company through which you can charter it. Aristotle, who used the mega yacht until his death in 1975, named it “Christina” after his daughter. In 1978, Christina donated it to the Greek government, and a family friend bought it in 1998, refurbished it, and renamed it the “Christina O,” according to Valef Yachts.

Aristotle hosted some of the most iconic actors and dignitaries of the 20th century aboard the yacht both before and after his wedding to the former first lady in 1968. Per Valef Yachts, famous guests included Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, and Winston Churchill.

The yacht is currently based in the Caribbean during the winter and in the Mediterranean in the summer. Depending on the yacht’s charter schedule, clients may board at any port within reach or pay a relocation fee to position the yacht where they want to board.

The Christina O can carry up to 157 guests while out on the water and up to 250 while docked, and has a crew of 38 provided by the yacht’s owner.

Thirty-four people can sleep in 17 guest cabins, all of which have en suite showers. The master Onassis suite has a jacuzzi and private lounge with a library.

When guests aren’t sleeping, they have plenty of outlets for entertainment. The opulent yacht with a spiral staircase has a saltwater swimming pool that converts into a dance floor, a jacuzzi deck, two massage rooms, a beauty salon, a library, several bars and lounges (one with a piano), and a dining area that can seat up to 40 guests. Guests can also take to the water in smaller boats or play in the sea using equipment such as a hoverboard and flyboard.

Valef Yachts also said that the yacht has been spruced up recently with new paint, a new teak deck for lounging near the jacuzzi, a new hydraulic swim platform, and new tenders.

All of this can be yours for 90,000 euros per day, or about $100,000, during peak season in July or August (plus tax, fuel, and guest food and drink). Or you can save money by renting it during the off-season: The price drops to 80,000 euros per day then, or about $90,000.
