Looking for new pieces or inspiration for your home? The Boston Design Center’s Red Tag Sale happens this Saturday and Sunday in conjunction with the Boston Home Show. (The home show happens this year at Black Falcon Pier in South Boston, next to the BDC.) High-end floor samples from BDC showrooms including furniture, fabric, rugs, lighting, art, and accessories — normally available only through designers — will sell for 30-60 percent below showroom list prices. Interior designers will offer free 20-minute consultations during the sale. Admission is $10 for both events. The Boston Design Center is at One Design Center Place (South Boston waterfront), Boston, 617-338-5072. Find sale hours and buy tickets in advance at www.bostondesign.com.

POP-UP PARTY TIME

Around two-dozen of the city’s most stylish will sell pieces from their own wardrobes at bargain prices during the Boldfacers Stylemakers Pop-Up Store and DJ Party Thursday from 7-9 p.m. We’re told actress Traci Bingham of “Baywatch” fame will sell off her red carpet Jimmy Choos; Boldfacers founder Lisa Pierpont will part with three J.P. Tod’s handbags from the Milan flagship boutique; Mix 104.1’s Sue Brady will set out a black Coach clutch coveted by none other than Steven Tyler. There will be some men’s pieces as well, courtesy of DressCode Boston’s Jeff Lahens and a couple of other fashionable gents. Admission is $10. The fun happens at W Boston, 100 Stuart St., Boston.
