Jewelry shop DIVA (Donna’s Infinite Variety of Adornments) will have thousands of pieces marked down 15-25 percent for its biannual show and sale, which starts tomorrow. Find designer contemporary, vintage, antique, and estate jewelry, including many one-of-a-kind items. The sale ends Nov. 17. The shop is at 331 Walnut St., Newtonville, 617-916-2063.


Theatergoers are once again getting some early seasonal cheer with the launch of this year’s Mayor’s Holiday Spectacular. Around 25,000 half-price tickets for shows including Boston Ballet’s “The Nutcracker,” “It’s a Wonderful Life,” “A Christmas Story, The Musical,” Boston Holiday Pops, and others are on offer at (Half-price ticket allotments change daily.) Also find a $10 voucher redeemable at around two-dozen area restaurants and a listing of free and low-cost festivities. The website is live through Jan. 1.

The selection includes Peruvian cotton dresses and tunics, sweaters and shawls, and pretty, inexpensive earrings and necklaces. Henry Bear’s Park celebrates Neighborhood Toy Store Day Saturday with a 20 percent discount on items from the American Specialty Toy Retailing Association’s 2013 Best Toys for Kids List. Toys include a sticker-making set, a Calico Critters supermarket, science-inspired games, and more.
