Party in the Park has long been one of Boston's glitziest events — a chance for the city's swells to don gorgeous hats, mix, mingle, and dine to raise money for the Emerald Necklace Conservancy.

Now pint-size philanthropists can help, too, with the new Emerald Necklace Explorers Club. The club offers kid-focused programming throughout the year, kicking off with a Children's Tea and Fashion Show at the Four Seasons Hotel (200 Boylston St.) on April 3, emceed by WCVB anchor J.C. Monahan. Parents can take in the latest styles from Pollywogs childrens' boutique, while kids can enjoy hands-on fun with activities hosted by the Franklin Park Zoo, the Boston Park Rangers, and the Olmsted Tree Society.

Proceeds will benefit the Justine Mee Liff Fund for the Emerald Necklace. The tea kicks off at 1 p.m. Get tickets ($50 for kids; $125 for adults) at www.emeraldnecklace.org/party-in-the-park/explorers-club. And grown-ups, take note: Party in the Park takes place on May 11 at Pinebank Promontory at Jamaica Pond.
