Beer, bacon, and even a possible appearance by Keytar Bear conspire to create an enchanting Saturday on July 22, when Dorchester Brewing Company hosts a one-year anniversary celebration with an all-day party at their Dorchester headquarters.
Arrive by 11:30 a.m. for the chance to snag free, limited-edition commemorative glassware. Once you’re in the door, groove to live music from Summer Beard, sample Dorchester Brewing Company’s latest IPAs (like Captain Squib, a tropical drink with traces of pineapple), and snack on free pretzels from Wicked Twisted.
The Bacon Truck caters a pig roast mid-afternoon, followed by cupcakes — all the better to sop up that suds. The party concludes with a 7:30 p.m. dance party hosted by D.J. Sprino, who will play all of your 1980s favorites. (Little-known fact: Dancing to “Like A Prayer” is a handy way to burn off beer calories.) And, yes, if you arrive early enough, there just might be a bear sighting.
