The max for the minimum still holds strong

On-trend home merchandise from Homesense.

Many retailers are struggling, but off-price behemoth TJX is looking to expand. In addition to its plans to open scores of T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods locations, the Framingham corporation launched a new chain in its hometown this week. Homesense offers on-trend home merchandise that will complement its sister stores. During a preview, we spotted a transitional tufted, black-leather club chair with nailhead trim, an industrial-style Sputnik nightstand, a midcentury-style copper floor lamp, abstract art in clean-lined white frames, macramé-trimmed throw pillows, woven baskets with a global flavor, playful pinboards, tools with an artisanal aesthetic, and imported gourmet goodies.
