Kids get an early Halloween at The Street

If your kids just can’t wait for Halloween to don their costumes, take heart: It’s coming early this year. Chestnut Hill’s The Street (55 Boylston St., Chestnut Hill) hosts a Halloween blowout on Oct. 21, beginning at 1 p.m.

Tired of your grumpy neighbor handing out granola bars yet again? This is your place. Kids can visit The Street’s shops for trick-or-treating and then stroll to the area’s green for more fun. Get faces painted by artists from Art on the Spot and groove to live music from Wellesley play space Kidville.

Bring your doggies, too: Deck out your furry pal in Halloween attire for a canine-costume contest on the green, hosted by the Polkadog Bakery treat boutique. Before you leave, immortalize the day in a photo booth at the shops’ very own pumpkin patch.
