    A Thanksgiving dinner, with class

    Dominic Miguel Costa

If the idea of cooking Thanksgiving dinner fills you with dread, try something new: Head to the Seaport for a “friendsgiving” cooking lesson at the Seaport Hotel’s Action kitchen on Nov. 17-19 or Nov. 24-26. Bring up to 23 friends (or family) for an interactive lesson with Seaport executive chef Richard Rayment.

Nibble on cheeses while you prepare rolled roast turkey with cornbread stuffing, cranberry and orange relish, sweet potato and marshmallow casserole, and creamy corn and spinach casserole. You can also bake and decorate Thanksgiving sugar cookies — and if you burn something, help is right there.

After cooking, retire to the dining area to enjoy your feast, with wine. Sounds better than arguing with Aunt Mildred about politics, doesn’t it? Classes start at $90 per person. Make reservations at
