NEW YORK — Catch a show in the Big Apple and then use your ticket stub to jump the line to purchase seats for other theater performances. Theatre Development Fund’s (TDF) TKTS Discount Booth in Times Square just launched the TKTS 7-Day Fast Pass, which lets anyone who purchased a TKTS ticket to a Broadway or an off-Broadway show return within seven days to buy a discounted ticket for a same-day show, or a full-price ticket for a future performance.

Skip the long lines and head straight to Window No. 1 with your TKTS ticket stub. Just look for the TKTS booth located under the glowing red-glass staircase, which has won more than a dozen international design awards. Here, choose from Broadway and off-Broadway shows, based on availability. The goal of the new ticket program is to enable visitors to see multiple shows during short visits to the city, according to TDF, a not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts. The ticket booth, located at Broadway and 47th Street, has sold 58.5 million tickets since it opened in 1973. It is open 365 days a year, and currently adds just $4 per ticket for a service charge.

TDF’s satellite booth at South Street Seaport was damaged during Hurricane Sandy but reopened recently following major reconstruction. Traveling to Brooklyn? You will find another satellite booth at 1 MetroTech Center. But only the Times Square booth offers the TKTS 7-Day Fast Pass.
