A Is your guy sick of golf, or are you just sick of hearing about golf? Either way, we’ve got a couple of fun options. Is he a sports-loving dude? Send him on an away game with his best buds. Dan Pranka has been running New England Sports Tours (www.newenglandsportstours.com) for 41 years, arranging transportation, tickets, lodgings, and tailgate eats. Prices range from $429 per person (for a bus trip to see the Patriots play the New York Jets) to $999 for a Houston game (includes air, transfers, a game ticket to Reliant Stadium, above, and three nights in a hotel). Pranka also runs trips to see the Sox, Celtics, and Bruins, and claims to have seen all four major Boston sports teams win a championship. Now that’s street cred.

Closer to home, there’s Foxwoods Resort Casino. We pick that one because it has the largest poker room on the East Coast, plus six casinos, bowling, comedy shows (including the “Nasty Show” with Nat Bargatze), live music at the MGM Grand Theater, and three steakhouses (www.foxwoods.com). Sounds like guy heaven to us.
