What’s the first thing David Ortiz did after retiring? Vacation.

If you’ve been going through Big Papi withdrawal and wondering what he’s been up to since hanging up his cleats at the end of the postseason, here’s one answer: vacationing.

Ortiz stayed at a five-bedroom mansion in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. It was a retirement and thank-you gift from local company TripAdvisorRentals, and based on his Dec. 5 tweet and a Facebook post, he had a blast.

“[This] was a perfect opportunity to kick back and relax with my boys,” Ortiz said. The villa he chose, Garden View Villa, had everything he was looking for, he said, with multiple bedrooms, a private pool, big kitchen, and location right near the beach.

But you don’t need to be a World Series MVP to vacation like one. Rates start at $550 per night at the villa, and the house sleeps 10, so you could bring your starting lineup and stay for just $55 each per night. Check it out here.
