Swiss chard lasagna at Rendezvous

In Central Square, a sublime summer appetizer.

Rendezvous serves up a vegetarian lasagna appetizer with a meaty, savory bite. Layers of free-form egg pasta alternate with chard that’s been sauteed with onion and garlic and mixed with fresh ricotta and comte cheeses. There’s a crunch of salted, toasted chopped almonds on top and a tiny spoonful of fresh salsa verde — flat-leaf parsley, minced sweet onions, and capers — on the side. A small plate of big flavors.
