    A 21st-century kid gets a 20th-century letter.

    This past summer, my 5-year-old granddaughter, Alice, had surgery. Many friends, relatives, and classmates sent her get-well cards. When I handed her a card that came via the US mail, she asked, “Do I have a password for this?”
