A scary JP apartment

Consider avoiding the third floor.

“The Haunted Mansion” was a freezing, seedy wreck of a house in Jamaica Plain where our son lived with some friends. When they had trouble finding somebody to rent the third-floor bedroom, we wondered just what the problem might be. “I’m not sure,” our son said. “Could be the python.” The third floor has a python? How big is it? “Oh, twelve feet. But we keep it in a cage.”
