    When you say everywhere . . .

    A good question during a children’s service at temple.

    This happened many years ago when my children were very young: During the High Holidays at temple there is a separate and more simple ceremony given in the basement for the little children. It is very quiet and solemn. As the rabbi was explaining to the children about God being everywhere, my daughter looked up to her father and said, “Is God everywhere?” When he replied yes, she asked, “Even in my toy box?”
