7 P.M. PAMMY’S, CAMBRIDGE
Henry I always read [Cupid] growing up and recently realized I was [of] age, so I went for it!
Hanna I have been reading Cupid for years and I thought it would be funny to try it out.
Henry I got there first and just took in the scenery. It was a cozy restaurant. We were right next to a fireplace.
Hanna The hostess looked excited and said, “Oh, the blind date?” So I figured everyone in the restaurant knew.
Henry We shook hands. She was pretty and had a cute smile.
Hanna He was cute and appeared to look my age. We acknowledged how funny blind dates are. Pammy’s had some interesting drinks, so we figured out what we both wanted to get.
Henry We talked about where we lived, went to school, and did for work.
Hanna We both moved into the city September 1st, so we are both learning our surroundings. He did a semester in Italy, so we talked about our travel experiences. He has spent every summer on the Cape and I also have spent a lot of time there; we are both big beach people.
Henry We seemed to be adventurous people, especially in our meal and drink choices. We tried some unique foods. I ordered the Wagyu bavette.
Hanna We got the foie torchon and the mushroom bruschetta. I got the red snapper. They gave us complimentary sparkling white wine.
Henry She has an outgoing personality, and I really liked her energy and charisma. She also has a lot of cute mannerisms.
Hanna It got easier as the date went on. There was never an awkward pause.
Henry We decided to stay for another drink after we finished our meal.
Hanna We had dessert cocktails and walked outside. I told him I was going to join my friends at a bar down the road. He said he would walk me, which was nice.
Henry I did think there is some potential. We exchanged numbers.
Hanna We hugged and agreed it was nice meeting one another. I enjoyed
the conversation [but] it was obvious it would only be a friendship.
Henry I hope we get together in the future. Hanna is fun to be around!
Hanna Not another date, but maybe I’ll run into him.
