Did you know the Red Sox franchise is in its 118th season, but its nickname is not? The original Boston Red Stockings (today’s Atlanta Braves) started in 1871. Our Sox took the name over in 1907. As the Sox get ready for their first home game April 5, test your team knowledge with this quiz.

How many games will the Red Sox win in the 2018 regular season? Submit your answer, your full name, and your mailing address to magazine@globe.com or The Boston Globe Magazine/Sox Prediction, 1 Exchange Place, Suite 201, Boston, MA 02109-2132. Answers must be postmarked by Patriots Day, April 16, 2018, or e-mail time stamped before the first pitch of the Sox game that day. If there are multiple correct answers, a winner will be chosen at random. The winner’s name will appear in the Globe Magazine this fall. Play ball!
