Science and art collide at the MIT Museum, which showcases 80 rare freehand drawings by Santiago Ramon y Cajal (plus contemporary renderings from MIT labs) in The Beautiful Brain. The trailblazing Spanish neuroscientist (1852–1934) won a Nobel Prize in 1906 for his research on the brain and nervous system. Through December 31. Jump into the Lexington Tattoo and Muster by marching the kids to the Battle Green to hear four fife-and-drum corps play 18th-century selections on Friday at 7 p.m. The event continues on Saturday at Minute Man National Historical Park, with a parade at noon and performances by more than two dozen uniformed corps from around the country.
