Lights on the water off Logan only a drill

There will be a lot of commotion and brilliant light on the water at the end of a Logan International Airport runway tonight, but it will only be a drill, airport officials said. The airport is conducting the drill to see how fast it can get portable lighting to an emergency area, in this case the water off Runway 14, said Logan spokesman Phil Orlandella. The drill, which will involve Massport Fire Rescue, the Coast Guard, Boston Fire Department, and State Police, will be conducted at 7 p.m.
