Boston police arrested a Dorchester man yesterday after he allegedly stabbed a 60-year-old man in the neck in the South End, police spokeswoman Nicole Grant said. Officers responded to 616 Shawmut Ave. at 5:40 p.m. and found the victim sitting in front of Ramsay Park suffering from a stab wound, Grant said. The victim and another witness each described the suspect, Grant said, and officers later located the suspect’s unoccupied vehicle parked on Harrison Avenue. Edward Moore-Pollard, 45, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries. No information about a motive for the stabbing was immediately available.
