State Police respond to Mount Ida College fight

NEWTON — State Police sent K-9 units to Mount Ida College on Thursday night to assist local authorities responding to a large fight on campus, a spokesman for the troopers said. David Procopio, a State Police spokesman, said the units were dispatched to the college sometime before 11 p.m. He said he had no information about the fight. A Newton police dispatcher said no information was available late Thursday. A college spokeswoman could not be reached.
