Connecticut baby sitter charged with bank fraud

A Guilford woman was arrested on charges that she stole thousands of dollars from a couple who employed her as a baby sitter. Federal prosecutors said Ashley Rose, 22, stole more than 250 checks from the couple, forged signatures, and deposited them in her own bank account. She then allegedly withdrew more than $80,000 in cash from the account. Rose was arrested Monday on a criminal complaint charging her with bank fraud. She appeared in US District Court in Bridgeport on Monday and was released on bond.
