Vermont woman charged in August crash that killed two


A 26-year-old Vermont woman is facing charges she was driving under the influence and careless and negligent operation, both with death resulting, following a crash in Troy that killed an elderly couple. State Police said Alexis Gabree of St. Albans is due in court in February to answer charges from the crash on Route 105 last August. Police said the vehicle Gabree was driving crossed the center line on Aug. 5 and hit a vehicle driven by Edmund Moran, 82, of Jay. Moran and his 76-year-old wife, Margaret, died of injuries in the crash.
