Stoughton woman pleads guilty to drunk driving crash that killed 64-year-old woman

A 32-year-old woman pleaded guilty Wednesday to driving drunk and striking and killing a Stoughton woman in June, authorities said. Auricelli Braga, also of Stoughton, was sentenced in Norfolk Superior Court to 2½ years in prison and five years of supervised probation, according to Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey. On June 24, 2012, Braga, while driving drunk, crossed the center line of Route 138 in Canton and struck a car being driven by Sara Escudero, 64, killing her. Braga pleaded guilty to charges of motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation while operating under the influence and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, Morrissey said in a statement. Braga is also facing deportation proceedings.
