Verdicts in Harvard cheating case are issued

Harvard College has issued verdicts to the approximately 125 students who were accused of cheating on a take-home final exam last spring, and will announce the results of the investigation at the start of the upcoming semester, according to Jeff Neal, a spokesman for the faculty of arts and sciences. The admistrative board completed the investigation in December, and has told each student the outcome of his or her case. “The cases were exceptionally complex and involved far more students than any other set of cases in recent memory, requiring great amounts of time and effort from the staff and faculty involved,” Neal said Tuesday.
