A man in his 20s was killed in a single-car car crash that took down a telephone pole early Saturday morning, Brockton police said. Juca Deandrade, 24, of Brockton was driving north near 54 West St. at about 4 a.m. when he lost control of his Dodge Intrepid. The car sideswiped a tree, which snapped the telephone pole, Lieutenant William Hallisey said in a phone interview. Deandrade was ejected onto the road, and the car rolled onto its roof. Deandrade, who was alone in the car, was taken to Brockton’s Good Samaritan Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
