Princeton man arraigned in fatal Worcester stabbing


A Princeton man has been ordered held without bail in the fatal stabbing of a man at a party in Worcester last weekend. Jay Anderson, 21, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a murder charge in the death of Boris Velez II, 20. Authorities said Anderson stabbed Velez after a quarrel early Saturday morning. Velez died at a Worcester hospital Tuesday. Anderson, accompanied by his lawyer, surrendered Wednesday. Anderson’s lawyer told The Telegram & Gazette that his client intends to ‘‘vigorously defend himself.’’ (AP)
