Police investigate stabbing of man, 23, in Mattapan

A man suffered life-threatening injuries Friday afternoon when he was stabbed on Almont Street in Mattapan, said David Estrada, a Boston police spokesman. Officers received a call about a stabbing victim at 3:28 p.m., Estrada said. The 23-year-old man was taken to Boston Medical Center, and officers are investigating the assault, officials said. A suspect, described as approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, 150 pounds, and wearing a black hoodie and black jeans was seen fleeing the scene, according to police.
