Cambridge man sentenced in 2010 home invasion, rape

A Cambridge man has been found guilty and sentenced to 74 to 85 years in prison for a 2010 home invasion and rape of child in that city, according to MaryBeth Long, a spokeswoman for Middlesex District Attorney Gerard T. Leone Jr. According to authorities, Marcos Colono, 35, entered the Pearl Street home on Aug. 26, 2010, and raped an 11-year-old boy in front of his father and then stabbed the man multiple times before fleeing. Colono was found guilty by a Middlesex Superior Court jury on charges that included home invasion, aggravated rape of a child with force, and armed assault with the intent to murder, Long said.
