Police say a man shot and killed his ex-girlfriend and another man early Saturday before committing suicide in her Warwick home, as two children who were upstairs escaped through their window. WPRI-TV reported that a 12-year-old boy fled to a neighbor’s home, told them what happened, and called police, while his brother stayed up on the roof until police arrived. The victims and the suspected assailant were pronounced dead at the Kenway Avenue home. Police identified the alleged gunman as John Oliveira, 45, of West Warwick. They say he entered the home at about 5 a.m. and shot Carla Bowen, 47, and Christopher Butler, 52, of Warwick.
