A former New Hampshire nightspot owner has been sentenced to 10 to 15 years in prison in Vermont for hiring a hitman to kill his former business partner and a former girlfriend. Lou Fucci Jr. was sentenced Friday in Superior Court in Hartford. Fucci was arrested in September 2011 on charges he paid a carpenter who was working on his house in Wilder to kill his partner in the Benning Street Bar and Grill in Lebanon, N.H., and his former girlfriend. The carpenter notified police and wore a recording device to gather evidence. The Valley News reported that Fucci told the judge that a divorce, breaking up with his girlfriend, legal problems, and the demise of his business caused him to become desperate and out of control.
