A 14-year-old boy was in critical condition at a Boston hospital Thursday night after being mauled by two Rottweilers earlier in the evening, police said. The attack occurred at about 5:40 p.m. in the rear of the Northgate Shopping Center in Revere inside a fenced-in area with barbed-wire, Revere police said. One of the responding officers fired his weapon at the dogs, and it appears that one dog was struck in the leg, police said. The youth was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, and the dogs were taken to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, police said.
