Man struck and killed in Acton by Fitchburg commuter rail train

A man was struck and killed by a commuter rail train in Acton Friday afternoon, according to MBTA Transit Police. The man, who was in his 20s, was struck around 3:55 p.m. by an inbound Fitchburg line train about 200 yards east of South Acton Station, said Joe Pesaturo, an MBTA spokesman. The accident was under investigation and the man’s identity was not immediately released.
