N.H. governor creates managed care commission

Governor Maggie Hassan has created a new commission on managed care for Medicaid to advise her as New Hampshire moves to that health care model for its poor. Hassan issued an executive order Wednesday creating the Governor’s Commission on Medicaid Care Management. The commission will bring together people with a range of expertise in health care to review and advise the state on implementing the system. Hassan said implementing a managed care system for New Hampshire’s existing Medicaid population is critical to expanding Medicaid to cover the uninsured under the federal health care law.
