Vt. State Police retire two veteran bomb dogs


Two veteran Vermont State Police bomb sniffing dogs are headed for the golden years of retirement. Officials said that late last month the dogs Oak and Freesia retired after eight years. Over the years, Oak and Freesia helped protect the president of the United States, two vice presidents, two presidential wifes, several presidential candidates, the US attorney general, the FBI director, two chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, two Vermont governors, and a variety of other dignitaries.
