Two lottery tickets worth $1 million sold in Rhode Island

Two lottery tickets sold in Rhode Island this week are each worth $1 million. A ticket for the Tuesday night Mega Millions drawing was bought at Stop & Shop on Mendon Road in ­Cumberland. A ticket for the Wednesday night Powerball drawing was purchased at the Lukoil gas station on South County Trail in East Greenwich. Lottery officials said the Mega Millions player won $250,000 but purchased a feature for an extra $1 that automatically quadrupled the prize.
